After a month and more, finally, another episode. The penultimate Season 2 episode! With the location of The Master confirmed, Natalia, Katja, and an accompaniment of soldiers from the Followers of the Apocalypse head to the huge, gothic cathedral to confront the evil behind the mutant menace!
Although Vault 13 is no longer in danger of dying of thirst, the Wasteland is still not safe. Where are these huge green humanoid things coming from, and what caused them to be? Natalia is given a new quest to uncover the secrets of the mutant menace. But there are even scarier things lurking in the dark corners of the wastes.
With the water chip in her possession, Natalia can return to Vault 13 and complete her task. But if she leaves now, what will become of the ghoul undergrounders hiding beneath Necropolis? Before she leaves, there’s the matter of Set to deal with.
But after that, she can bring the water chip back and that will be that.
Sorry about the hiatus! Hopefully a fresh new ninety minute episode will make up for it? Maybe a little?
So like…I guess we never made a post for this episode? Whoops. Man, I suck at keeping up with this website. In my defense, writing a blog on WordPress has not actually in any way qualified me to be a decent webmaster.
Calvin usually makes the posts, but I have taken over for tonight! But I’m not going to do anything exciting or anything. I’m just here to make up a post so it looks like we know what we’re doing (spoiler alert: we don’t).
SO! Episode 02:
Natalia returns from Junktown having thoroughly acclimated herself to the dangerous nature of the wastes. She has guns, brass knuckles, experience, and most importantly, a dog. But no water chip.
Time is running out for her and her Vault. Perhaps someone in the Hub can point her in the direction of another Vault.
Finding no water chip in the Hub or Vault 15, Ian and Natalia head to Junktown to see if there is anything to be gained by following this weak lead. There, they find a town torn in two, where a crime boss and a sheriff share an uneasy alliance, and also a dog.
War has changed. – Snake.
Wait, that’s not right. Anyway, it’s finally here, after many delays and technical problems. Fallout is an RPG by Interplay that was released for PC back in 1997. It’s a turn-based game based in a post-apocalyptic retro-future wasteland in which the protagonist, who has spent (his/her) entire life in an underground shelter must go to the surface and seek a solution to (his/her) home’s malfunctioning water purification chip.
Last season RPG Rabbit was the narrator and Calvin was the protagonist, so this time we’ve switched places. Calvin’s putting on his best overly gruff weathered wastelander voice and RPG Rabbit asks a lot of questions. It turns out 98% of the things the protagonist says in this game are just questions. It makes sense from a gameplay point of view; when we, the players, interact with an NPC it’s usually to gain information about something. Theatrically, however, it sounds a little funny. Well, that’s just part of this podcast’s charm!
This season also features vocal contributions by a great many people from all over the place! Some friendly actors from the local community theatre here dropped by the studio (once just a desk in a bedroom, but we’ve since moved and the recording setup now has its own room!) as well as Internet folk.
Thanks for listening to our goofy project.
